Bundle of Joy!

Just relaxing....

All Smiles

Beautiful Baby
Room Air Only! Yippee!
Maddox is doing great, breathing on his own. The doctor decreased his diuretics to only one and potassium is no longer needed. This is progress.....
Maddox did great again with his bottle this morning. It is going to take him a little time to learn to coordinate breathing (on his own) and eating from the bottle. We have to demonstrate to the nurses our new skills with the NG tube each day as we progress towards discharge.
The Sunday discharge was only a dream ~ one nurse mentioned a Tuesday discharge but that is not official yet. We get down sometimes, just wanting to go home. We got a new perspective today when we met a parent in the laundry room that has been here for 7 months with no end in sight. Our situation is not so bad, Maddox is getting well and we will be home soon!
Thank you for your continued prayers.

Hey, Luke and Amy. When we were in Cherokee last weekend we met a very nice lady named Trish Budd. She is a nurse in the pediatric unit. She said she would "keep an eye out" for Maddox when he progressed from the stepdown unit. If you see her tell her thanks from us. As allways, we are keeping you all in our prayers. We have had a great couple of days with your Mom and Dad and Mort and Judith. Looking forward to seeing Maddox in Marion.
