Last Update for Friday

Here is what we learned today:

We would not have gotten out of the PICU today, even if Maddox did not have this "Hiccup". No beds opened on the floor, but the Chart Nurse said that we would be first on the list tomorrow if the Doctor's OK the move out of the PICU.

I flat out asked the Doctor if Maddox was going to be OK. He told me that he would be fine. The fluid around and in his lungs just had to get out, and that takes a little time. He said that his kidney's are good, so they are relying on the diuretic to do this. So, the more he pee's, the better off he will be.

Having the Doctor's talk to us and explain what was going on really helped ease our tensions. They seemed confident that he is still doing good and that he will come out of this just fine.

We will let all of you know something in the morning after we spend a little time with him.

Your Friends,

Amy, Luke, and Maddox
