Amy and I have spent the day in the PICU with Maddie.
The surgeon came by and spoke briefly with us about his condition. He said that he is not too concerned about this situation. Although it is not common, it does happen, and they know how to handle it.
They have scaled back on his food too. They are going to nourish him through his IV. They can also add his meds better that way too.
Although this "hiccup" is somewhat of a setback, Amy and I are still optimistic that he will be able to go out to the floor tomorrow or Sunday. Also hoping that we can take him home before next weekend too.
We are still staying at Keith and Debra's. They are very nice to extend their home to us. Amy and I are very thankful to them for this.
We will keep you posted if we find out anything else this afternoon or tonight.
Your Friends,
Amy, Luke, and Maddox
