Greetings All,
Amy and I just spoke with the surgeon. He said that everything went well. The next 24 to 48 hours are pretty important, (as with any surgery) but he did not say anything was wrong. There was some things that he had to improvise on once he got in there, but he told me that before the operation. He felt that he could not devise a game plan before he actually saw what he had to work with.
Amy and I are waiting to get to see Maddox in the PICU within the next 30 minutes.
The surgeon said that hopefully Maddox should spend about 4 days in the PICU and maybe another week on the step-down floor. That will put us home before the end of the month, which is our goal.
Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers. We feel that they really helped. We will write something tomorrow about how our big guy is doing.

Wonderful news!!!!!!!!! Prayers are still going up for Maddox and all will be well. All things are possible with God! Am looking forward to seeing you guys again and meeting Maddox!!!!
